This bbs has been so unhappy as of late, what with the weird and weirdness being posted, so how about we start a thread where we post about one thing that makes us happy?
Only rule is it can't be CP-related, but if CP wants, he can post about one thing that makes him happy. If he wants.
Caaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooollllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyynnnnnnnnnn, we aren't going to learn unless it's by example, so you have to add to this post too.
Okay, I've recently got all my music CDs ripped to mp3, organized and all. Listening to them makes me happy.

Monkeys make me happy. They are fun and personable, and don't read the National Enquirer.
Drinking coffee in bed on a weekend morning, with three dogs, an enormous cat, and - oh yeah - my husband all in there with me, makes me very happy.
Crowded, but contenting.
Wow. You own five domesticated pets then?

Seven.
(The kitten-twins aren't snugglers though.)
PS - if you could see our basement/prop storage space, you might think twice about applying the word 'domestic' to my be-thumbed pet.
I think that I did see pictures of your basement on the TV news, but I'm not sure. Do you have a person named Katrina living there?

My dog Cassie had a seizure on Tuesday last week and it was thought that she sustained brain damage and might have to be put down; but she came thru it okay and now its a wait and see game as to how she goes... but I'm
happy and grateful to have my baby back home and I know John and I will make the right decision for her if and when the time comes.

Oh Jannine, I don't know if that made me happy hearing that about your dog or sad about his state. I do hope the best for him though.
What makes me happy is when I'm working on a challenging project with a bunch of really great people and feeling really good about being around such a good group.
Oh and watching Chris Potter on Silk Stalkings - that really makes me happy!

Hi Jannine,
I am so glad that Cassie is ok.
Thinking about what makes me happy in the everyday sense, it is finally having a computer that works.
But in the big picture it is birth,
the safe arrival of a wanted child.
The kitten born on my foot,
the mice, the guinea pigs, the chickens, the rabbits, and the goldfish etc etc.

What makes me happy is teaching martial arts to a bunch of kids, especially the 4 year olds. No matter what kind of mood I'm in they always cheer me up. Especially my student who has Cerebral Palsy, so many things are hard for him to do but he never gives up and it's great to see his reaction when he finally figures something out.

Thanx you guys. (Sorry, didn't mean to pull the tone of the thread down! I was just happy about having her home... and grateful)
Maria - a kitten was born on your foot. I think I have to hear more about that! LOL
JoAnn - that's a gorgeous sentiment for sure. Worth every smile I'm sure.

Hearing my kids say "Please" and "Thank You" without being prompted, and/or someone telling me that they (the kids) were especially kind or polite when I wasn't around makes me happy, and it makes me think my job as a parrot ("And what do you say?? Awwk!") may be, at long last, coming to an end.
Great idea, Alicia.

The small things in life make me happy.
Listening to the kids laugh.
A Saturday morning without my mother in law. (She's the best mother in law you can have, but just sometimes...)
A Cafe Mocca with whipped cream from Starbucks, because it's so forbidden for my figure and I don't even get it often enough.
Spending a weekend at the NorthSea, sitting in the late afternoon sun with a cup of tea and just watching the waves.
Stuff like that.

OK, I'm posting cause if I don't Alicia will either make me pay the dinner bill or sleep in my car.
Things that make me happy are trips with friends. Enjoying a relaxing day in the hot tub/pool and drink in hand. And the Sabres winning a STANLEY CUP!!!!

I thought TO mandated that the two of you weren't allowed in the city at the same time.

You are allowed to drink one Marguerita for each of "us" who aren't there with you.
Elise, you're kids are already perfect!

Don't push it!
Yes, happiness is time spent with CPals. What makes me really happy is to be with family and friends who love me and who I love. I also was very happy the last 2 weekends when my dog won big at the shows after a long dry spell.
And I quit my job, which made me happy and sad.
Jannine, I hope your little dog is on the road to recovery. Cavaliers are such endearing little guys, one of my favorite breeds.

What makes me happy is taking my horse out for a long ride. Just me and my horse Kota injoying the country side. That's the way to spend a afternoon.
Jannine, I also hope your dog is going to be okay. I have two dogs myself and would hate to not have them around..

Thanks guys.
Cass is doing a little better. She had another small fit a few days ago but seemed to come thru it okay. Its just a wait and see game now I guess.
With our hot weather on its way - not too sure how she will handle it.
I'm so happy to have people around here who care!
Big hugs to you all.

Barb,
you promised a trip down-under when you quit,
We have the sunshine now, lots of it.
But you need to bring your own bananas, we have none of those.

Don't believe a word Barb... there is never any sunshine in Tasmania
Victoria on the other hand is having unseasonally hot weather.... and bloody windy as well.
Unfortunately with the hot weather comes the bushfires as well... how's Tassie going Maria? I see you guys had heaps of fires as well. I think Vic had 280 break out yesterday!!!!

I bet Buffalo has you beat. This weekend hit us with 2 feet (60 cm) of snow of wet heavy slushy snow. Power failures through 75% of city and suburbs. AND I TOOK VACATION THIS WEEK AND EVERYONE ELSE IS OFF WITH AN EMERGENCY CLOSURE. I AM SO DEPRESSED!!!!
I was packing for Toronto when I saw the new flashing a "Lake effect snow Warning " so what does a smart Buffalo girl to do, but pack faster and head to the other side of the lake.

Its like starting summer vacation and going down with the flu next day.
I know this is supposed to be things that make you happy
but life does kick you in the butt sometimes!
You should head back over here too.
I vote the next FuFest should be Melbourne!
Kim Chan wants to come here.
