I live in Toronto and I was in the Yorkville area and they were filming Wildcard. When they took a break I talked to Chris, Loretta, and Joely they are really nice. I'll tell you honestly I didn't know who Chris was until Wildcard but i'm a big fan now! I also read his bio and it said he was 40 something, he didn't look older than 30 to me lol I love this board and it's my first time posting here and it's so nice to be among some fellow canadians.
All the best,
Ashlee

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jul-16-04 AT 06:44 AM (GMT)]Thanks for sharing. It's always nice to hear about fans meeting our favorite actor.
Oh, and besides, actually I believe that the majority on this board is from outside Canada

But I'm sure you'll like it here nonetheless.

I don't drink LaBatt's, I hate hockey, and I couldn't recognize a maple leaf if it fell off of a tree onto my head. They won't even let me into Canada.

How fun for you! We're gnashing our teeth in jealousy. I hope you did not fall prey to the CP Zone effect -- a mysterious phenomenon whereby many of Chris' fans fall into a state of blithering idiocy (mindless babble, mild drooling, etc.) whenever in his presence... :7
BTW, JG's statement is just proof of what sensible, intelligent folks there are up in Canada.

HI Ashlee,
first Welcome to the BBS AND congradulations on meeting CP. I have met him twice so far. First in 99 at a hockey game in NY and the 2nd time in 2001 at the NY Film Festival, he was receiving an award for his work on "Rockets Red Glare"
I was up in Canada in May when they first started filming WC for the 2nd season and my friend and I saw alot of orange cones that are used in the area they are filming but unfortunately we did not come across that show, we did come across filming for 1800 missing and some movies.
Maybe if you are lucky you'll see him again. Very happy for you
Linda S
I have met him twice so far.
Hey, weren't you the one who tried to trip him as he made his way to the stage? If so, didn't you meet him a third time when he picked you out of the police lineup?

JG get your story straight. I was NOT the one who tripped him up. I was sitting one row up diaganolly (sp) from where he was sitting. It was a friend of mine who accidently tripped Chris when he went to receive his award.

Uh huh. I heard a rumor that you put your friend up to that, and your friend was supposed to trip Chris so that he fell into your lap, but as an athlete, Chris was able to maintain his balance and foil your nefarious plot.

Right JG, My plot has been exposed by you! }> yep that was it, my friend was supposed to trip Chris so he would caterpolt (sp) over the aisle, diagnolly and fall into my lap

I'll have to have my catchers mitt ready next time

Hey,
I met him too. In July in Key West. I worked at one of the hotels at that time and we had a whole "Pacifier" crew staying with us. On the last day when they were shooting the movie, me and my Front Desk pals went out, and all the crew was downtown and they joined us and we had fun. That's when I met Chris. I didn't even know he was a celebrity. But God, was he cute...

You`re so lucky!
I think, if I would meet him and should talk to him, I wouldn`t know what to say and I would turn dark red ...
But I will never meet him as a poor german girl on the wrong side of the ocean ... :'(

I know just the right solution. Play the lottery, win and then you can invite me. }> Until then, let's just weep together. Besides, we are not living on the wrong side, that's the rest of the world.

Don't you think the ocean is already salty enough as it is? On the other hand, if you're crying you're not making me laugh, cause then I'd sure drown like a stone and never make it to the other side.

I hope i get the chance to see whether i get hit by CPZ one day...chances are slim, living in England and all, but you never know!
