Thought I'd interject a bit of silliness. Take the subject header and tell a true story about something you've done because you're a CP fan. Here's my offering. This happened this past Sunday.
You know you're a CP fan when....
You go to a bead show because you make and sell beaded jewelry as a hobby. You're casually sifting through a sale bin of Swarovski crystals and you're drawn to a tube with deep green crystals that have purple, blue, and pink accents when they catch the light. You think 'hmm, those are pretty, maybe I'll get one tube.' You read the color name: Tourmaline, and you buy every tube in the bin.

You know you're a CP fan when...
...you actually sat through all of Arachnid.
(Sorry, Chris. Love you in Wild Card though).

My grandson watches it everytime it is on the SciFi channel, once three times in one week end. He spends every other week end at my house and thinks it's cool for grandma to stay up and watch with him. Nick is ten.

It's 5 AM and I have to make a 10 hour drive today so that I don't have to do it on Sunday and risk missing the new WC ep. ;-)

JG, Happy or Belated Happy Birthday! Since I'm not sure exactly what date is the correct one, I'll just drink a bottle of champagne in your honor for the next week or so! Cheers!
Laurence
P.S. Margaret, darling, where have you been hiding your wonderful self?
P.P.S. You know you're a CP fan when you actually consider watching Wild Card again after having seen it.

You're out of town for a week so you call home every morning to make sure that someone checks your vcr to make sure it's recording KFTLC. You wouldn't want to be one tape short of the 50 on your shelf of the KFTLC seasons. Besides, you also can't be an episode short when you've got them all.. maybe even more than once...

Lawrence:
My darling sweet apple muffin I check in just about every day. I just don't have to much to post.
How are you doing from that awful attack a couple of years ago? I know they were worried about a detached retina--I hope that wasn't the case.
Oh and Zoe seems a little calmer this year. I think her hair is somewhat calmer. But the annoying teens still make their unwanted and unneeded appearance .

you try to figure out what French websites say about Wild Card, which recently started there. And this though the last time you had anything to do with this language was when you were in the 12th grade, decades ago. Either this, or it means you are plain and simple stupid. *sigh*
You may want to check out:

It's a web site that can translate between several different languages. You type in (or paste) the text, tell what language it is in, and select what language you want it translated to. It's hardly perfect, but I used it once to translate some Italian into English, and it was close enough for me to figure out the real meaning. (I can read some Spanish and French, but Italian just looks too odd to me).

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Sep-25-04 AT 07:45 AM (GMT)]Thanks for the link. I'll try it. That sure will be easier than looking for single words. I guess I shouldn't have chosen Latin as a second language.

A bit of deadly doggerel, memorized when I was pre-pubescent:
Latin is a dead language, as dead as dead can be.
It killed off all the Romans, and now it's killing me.

When the first stock you buy independent of your 401K Mutual funds is Canadian Pacific because it's undervalued at the time, has a terrific P/E ratio, is a business-model that makes sense and is earning profits and is contrary to the bullish stance in dot coms... and then realize afterward that its ticket symbol is... CP!
*sigh*
