Hello, everyone.

Just wanted to ask if anyone has the Chris movie "The Thrill of the Kill"?

I had a copy I recorded when it was on television, but lost it in the fire.

I thought with all the Chris fans here, someone would have it.

I've so been able to replace "The Good Witch" and Chris' episode of The Outer Limits, "Stranded." I have "Arachnid" on order from Amazon.

Here's hoping KF:TLC, Silk Stalkings, and Wild Card come to DVD.

Thanx a million,
Frank

Frank, I'm so sorry to hear that you were affected by a fire. I hope that the people around you are okay; the things can be replaced, mostly.

From what I understand, season 6 of Silk Stalkings is the only one that's been released and that's only on Amazon.com for download (Carolyn has a link on the site which gives her some benefit if you connect through there) and according to Stephen J. Cannell's website, the other seasons won't be released.

Kung Fu: The Legend Continues isn't out on DVD either, but there are among the masses, honest fans who are willing to make copies on DVD for you (until the official ones come out) and request you pay for materials and postage but not for the actual shows themselves. If you're paying more than materials and postage, someone is making a profit off the show and shouldn't be. Other than that, many of the episodes are on YouTube.

Wild Card has shown up in repeats on Lifetime Real Women - which is a cable digital channel; although they run periodically, they are sporadic and I haven't followed the channel. Thrill of the Kill was made for Lifetime, so you may want to check their websites; it may show up on Lifetime Movies Network.

On another board I frequent, there was mention of a company called Shout Factory which bought the rights to Simon & Simon after Universal declined to release the show beyond Season 1. Season 2 is coming out soon. The Shout Factory has a message board where threads can be started about TV shows that haven't been released and whatever support the show has, similar to voting for shows on TVShowsonDVD.com.

It might be worth checking out the board over there and starting a thread/submitting a request. If you do start a thread, let us know over here so that anyone else who wants to express an interest can do so.

Good luck replacing your collection.

Don't know if this helps - but IF you've got a DVD player and a TV set which can handle PAL colour format, you might be able to obtain the DVD in Portugal. It was released there last year on DVD, Portuguese title is "A Emocao de Matar" (but it's in English, not dubbed). The DVD description says it's "compativel em todas las zonas", imho this indicates RC0, so no problem with region codes...

It was released by FILMES UNIMUNDOS (www.unimundos.pt), I was not able to register on their website (problem with my browser), but I wrote to them and was able to order a DVD. Shipping is quite expensive, but I'm happy I bought the DVD nevertheless.

Again, I don't know if your TV set and DVD player can handle PAL (most DVD players in Germany can handle PAL and NTSC, but the average TV set only handles PAL - don't know if the "standard" American TV set can handle other formats than NTSC?)

Isn't this movie aka "Rush of Fear"? If so, there are some copies available by resellers via Amazon.

If you buy, don't forget to use the link at the top of the BBS so Carolyn gets some credit for the purchase.

No, Rush of Fear is a different movie.
In "Thrill of the Kill", Chris is the writer Graydon Jennings who writes about murders and is contacted by a young woman whose sister has been murdered under circumstances very similar to the description in the book.
As far as I know, this DVD has only been released in Portugal and is not available via amazon. *sigh*

You're right, thanks. I do remember, although I haven't watched it as much as some of the others. I guess I prefer watching CP as a hero.

So do I.
But I like the beginning - the scene in the disco, one hears the music and watches the people dance; and then suddenly Chris' voice, when Graydon Jennings reads from his new novel, reflecting about the "thrill of the kill". Wonderful!
Oh, why doesn't Chris record audio books??? I'd gladly listen to almost anything as long as Chris reads it.
He makes stupid cereal commercials sound interesting, just imagine what he'd achieve with a really good text *lost in reverie*

Torino, I went to a celebrity charity event a few years ago where one of the items auctioned off was a certain specific celebrity reading the phone book. The catch was that the auction winner got to pick which PAGE of the phone book was to be read.

Let me tell you it was VERY INTERESTING. If it gives you a hint, the event was in Los Angeles and the phone book selected contained the yellow pages in Hollywood.
