What does one do on Canada day exactly?

In Australia, on Australia Day - usually people have BBQs and parties and just get together for a bit of fun. There are usually fireworks displays etc.

well we have a partie and lot of peolpe of BBQ,s and and some go camiping. and just injoy the long week end. me iam
going to see the partie. and visit with famiy and freinds. thats want we do here in my home town of port Alberni bc. you have to one day come out. to bc.to see how beautiful canada is jannnie fom kim hello hope you have a good week end"
