CPOFC: 2008 Newsletter and Updates Options

The 2008 edition of the CPOFC News, Volume 37, newsletter was mailed just before Christmas. If you do not receive your copy within a reasonable amount of time, please check with us to see if you are on our current mailing list. If you would like information on the fan club, please write. There are a couple of articles written by our members in this issue.

As you may have read from Valerie’s note from the CP BBS, THE GOOD WITCH 2, which was its working title is called THE GOOD WITCH’S GARDEN. It will air on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, February 7, 2009 (http://www.hallmarkchannelpress.com/publish/pr/home/corporate/press_releases_1/press_release_1208080.html). The first movie can still be seen on the W Network in Canada and it was last shown in the afternoon on Christmas Day.

The second season of HEARTLAND will return on CBC Television in Canada on Sunday, January 4th. The last episode, “Showdown!,” that aired on December 7th earned its highest rating for the season. If you have been following the show, we are wondering whether CP’s character, Tim Fleming, will return since he was left in a dire situation.

We certainly would like to see more of CP and would advocate for his return in more episodes. With the early announcement of the show being picked up for a third season, we must let those in charge know that HEARTLAND is one of your favourite shows because of CP. Although there is no mention of the show being released on DVD, this is a good time to also let them know that you would purchase the show for home viewing especially for those who do not have the opportunity of watching the show on its schedule time.

Last but not least, we will be expecting new work from CP. He is currently filming until the end of January in a new movie called WARRIOR where he plays Lt. Colonel Sean Sullivan, a Marine officer. This means that he will not be able to emcee the 53rd Rogers Sports Celebrity Dinner & Auction on January 19, 2009. Art Hindle will be taking his place as emcee. However, if CP finishes filming early, he will also be in attendance.
